What SENTRY is (and is not)

SENTRY is a living notebook about Star Citizen people and organizations. You do not need a military staff or a programming background. If you can search a name and write a sentence, you can use it.

The picture in one minute

The public site already knows a lot of citizens (player handles) and organizations (org SIDs). SENTRY watches Roberts Space Industries pages in the background and remembers when profiles or memberships change.

When you sign in with NAVCOM, you also get a private layer: notes, tags, reputation, contact reports, and who you share them with. That layer is yours. Other people only see what you choose to send them.

Citizen / org profile appears here
  1. Docs is this guide. The old “API Documentation” link now lives inside Docs, under Developers.
  2. Search is the fastest way in. Two characters is enough.
  3. Log in unlocks notes, reports, tags, and sharing. Public search still works without it.

What you will do here

  • Look someone up after a fight, a meetup, or a contract.
  • Write a short note so you remember them next week.
  • File a contact report when something happened in space that other people on your team should know.
  • Stick a tag or a reputation number on a handle so it shows up on their profile.
  • Decide who sees it — just you, a few handles, an org, or a group.

Use Log in in the header (or Settings). That sends you to NAVCOM-ID. Approve SENTRY once. After that, this browser stays signed in until you log out.

If you only wanted a public lookup, you never have to sign in.

Where to go next

The list on the left is the index. Read the topics in order if this is your first time. After Groups, read Keeping intel safe. Overlay pilots: skip to Desktop overlay. Builders: API documentation.
